New Planet - Earth Like Even
This is probably one of the coolest things I have seen in quite some time. A recent discovery of a planet opens new thoughts about what another earth like plant could be. At least in my mind. Imagine a planet that is like earth but the size of Jupiter. About 45 times the mass of earth actually. This is neat.
Why I care is actually because for the first time in history the scientific community is stating "Oh, by the way; there really are earth like planets out there, possibly millions if not billions of years older than earth." A planetary scientist of the University of Arizona, Tucson; Jonathan Lunine, was quoted as saying "We can now say there are stars like the sun that have many worlds around them." Um, duh?
Are there really people out there who have doubted this fact? Come on, there are roughly 2 million planets in the Milky Way galaxy alone and some would say we are that unique. Yea, each and every one of us is unique. Just like everyone else.
